M&S have already released an eye-catching bunch of festive treats for 2024 year, and now a new launch has caught shoppers’ attention.
The retail giant has released their beloved Mini Bites in a 700g family-sharing size.
Those M&S tubs are synonymous with picnics, office snacks and family parties – and now, they’ve had an XL makeover.
The new giant tub includes all of your favourites: double chocolate mini rolls, caramel crispies and a brand new festive flavour: cranberry and yoghurt clusters.
The festive treat is three times the size of the usual classic tubs, and it’s got shoppers feeling extra jolly.
Announcing the news on Instagram, the brand wrote: ‘For the first time EVER we’ve mixed our iconic Mini Bites into a sensational sharing tub!’
Adding: ‘Perfect for movie nights, passing round the office, and turning up with to all your Friendsmas gatherings. Which mighty mini bite are you reaching for first?’
It resulted in a flurry of comments from excited shoppers with one even claiming it’s going to ‘replace’ the UK’s favourite festive treat.
One user, Jack Jackson, boldly admitted: ‘This will definitely replace Quality Streets this Christmas’.
‘This is the best idea EVER. Totally obsessed!’ Emma Payne wrote. ‘Another visit is pending…’ Nikki Bruce commented on the post.
M&S first released their beloved mini bites in 2001. At the time, they only had two, but thanks to the marvellous creation being a hit with shoppers, they now have 14 in the range.
In a statement issued to Metro, the brand revealed the treat is so popular that 19 Mini Bites are brought every minute in the M&S food halls.
It’s just one more exciting food that is part of the retailer’s Christmas line this year, joining turkey lasagna, chocolate and cinnamon tortilla chips, and a white wine alternative to mulled wine among others.
According to Metro Lifestyle writer, Courtney Pochin, its a range worth indulging in as well.
After taste testing the most unique foods on the list, she said the turkey lasagna, ‘shouldn’t work, and yet it does. It’s delicious’, while the chocolate and cinnamon tortilla chips were a surprise win, admitting: ‘M&S is on to something with this.’
As for the Pigs in Blankets Mac & Chesse, she said: ‘I thought I might find the cranberries an odd addition, but I actually ended up wishing there were more of them, as only a few had been scattered on top. They just pair so nicely with the cheese, and it’s a combo that just screams CHRISTMAS to me.’
