Tasha Ghouri is making impressive strides in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, and according to former professional dancer, Brendan Cole, she’s on the path to reach a significant milestone.
Tasha and her dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec delivered a couple’s choice routine on Saturday night to P!nk’s What About Us during Icons Week. The duo topped the leader board with an impressive score of 39, narrowly missing the perfect 40, as judge Craig Revel Horwood awarded them a 9.
Meanwhile, fellow adjudicators Motsi Mabuse, Anton du Beke and Shirley Ballas each gave the pair a perfect 10. Now, Brendan has suggested that the Love Island star is “on track” to achieve the elusive score of 40 and it could happen imminently, reports the Express.
In conversation with Sky Vegas, Brendan shared: “Tasha [Ghouri] could definitely be on course for the perfect 40 very soon. She’s clearly very talented and will no doubt have many perfect scores for the second half of the show.”
“When she dances, she moves with such ease, she is clearly very talented, and looks like she belongs on the dance floor.”
Tasha and Aljaz received glowing feedback from the judges on Saturday night, along with a standing ovation from Motsi. She expressed: “Sometimes in life, things happen to us for a reason and we never know why. And we never know in which direction it will go bad for you, look at what direction you have now brought to us.”
“You are on Strictly, we love you, you are representing. That was a powerful dance, powerful words and you made that look so easy.
“That was so difficult. So you are speaking to a lot of people out there, inspiring, keep going. We love you here.”
Following a thrilling contest, Olympian Sam Quek and her dance partner Nikita Kuzmin were the latest couple to be eliminated from Strictly on Sunday night’s results show, after competing against Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe in the dance-off.
Despite their best efforts, all four judges opted to save Montell, marking the end of the road for Sam and Nikita, who took to the dance floor for their farewell performance.
