A Scots teen was rushed to hospital after he was hit by a car and left seriously injured.
The collision happened on Rutherglen Main Street at around 4.10pm on Tuesday, November 5, and involved a black Mercedes Vito taxi and the 16-year-old male pedestrian.
The boy was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries. Officers say a 58-year-old man was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and released pending further enquiries.
The road was closed until around 8.15pm to allow for an investigation at the scene.
Sergeant Gemma Blackadder, Road Policing Motherwell said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and we would urge anyone with information which could help to get in touch.
“We would also be keen to speak to anyone with dashcam footage from the area to let us know.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 2428 of 5 November, 2024.”
