An area of Aberdeen is in lockdown following reports of a “suspicious package” on a residential street.
Multiple police and fire service personnel have been pictured at the scene on Lemon Place, with surrounding streets, including Park Street, closed off.
Police say they were alerted to the incident at around 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday. They have urged the public to avoid the area.
Police Scotland North East posted on Facebook: “Emergency services are in attendance at Lemon Place, Aberdeen following a report of a potentially suspicious package being found around 1.40pm.
“A cordon has been put in place and roads in the surrounding area have been closed.
“The public is asked to avoid the area.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
