Amanda Holden has revealed that she got a tattoo while she was on holiday with her girlfriends – and her husband is less than impressed.
While hosting Heart FM, Amanda revealed that she has had her first ever bit of ink at the age of 53, opting for a tiny tattoo on her wrist.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge revealed that the fresh tattoo was completely spontaneous as she decided to get the artwork done while she was on holiday with her friends.
She explained that she got the tattoo in celebration of her two children: ‘I said to Jane, let’s do it. And we found a place, and he could fit us in., and we both did exactly the same thing.
‘It’s two little hearts next to each other to symbolise my two children. But I’m going to do another little one at the bottom I’ve decided.
Despite the fact the sweet symbolism behind her tattoo, Amanda’s husband Chris Hughes was unimpressed and called the tat ‘naff’.
‘So anyway I got home form LA, no one noticed in my family, except my child who was with me and just couldn’t get over it,’ she said.
‘I was pretending to mop my brow, as I was talking to Chris I had my hand like that [holding her hand to her forehead] Just nothing!’
She then revealed that as her husband failed to notice her wrist, she had to tell him.
‘We told Chris, and he said “It looks fake,” second he said “It looks naff” and third he said “Ugh what’s gonna happen next, what gonna go next and now the children are gonna want one”.
Despite his negative reaction, the presenter added that she was still delighted with her tattoo: ‘But anyway power to me, and Jane and my friend Sarah!’
Amanda is currently taking part in the audition process for Britain’s Got Talent and accidentally exposed a fake moment in the show in a hilarious blunder.
Auditions for the ITV variety programme are currently underway across the country, with the presenter joining fellow judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, and KSI, who is stepping in for Bruno Tonioli.
