Katie Price has been left “petrified” as children Junior and Princess Andre embark on a new life move.
On the Netmums podcast, former glamour model Katie revealed 19-year-old Junior has passed his driving test and is now on the roads. Meanwhile, 17-year-old Princess has recently started learning to drive.
Mum-of-five Katie says she now worries about how other people on the roads behave when the youngsters are out driving. Katie is also left feeling apprehensive when the pair venture into London alone.
She explained: “I get so scared now, even with the older ones like Junior and Princess, when they go to London, it’s not them I worry about, it’s other people, the crime that goes on, and that petrifies me.
“Now Junior is driving and I worry about other people on the road, and Princess is doing her driving test, and I’m like, ‘oh my god, my little babies’. You never stop worrying about your kids.”
Katie says it was her anxiety of the bigger cities that made her want to raise her family in the countryside. The star recently moved to a four-bedroom home on the outskirts of a commuter town in Sussex.
It came after she left her 8,000 sq ft Mucky Mansion, which was located in nearby Dial Post. In 2021, Katie claimed the property was “haunted” and that she “couldn’t sleep” because of a “grey lady” on the top floor.
Katie, however, says raising the children in the countryside meant they could go “a bit feral”. She continued: “I’m the type of mum that, if they want to go outside, and they just want to go outside in their pants in welly boots and jump in a muddy puddle, let them do it.
“If they want to enjoy and do that, like, well, I’ve always had horses and that, you know, and they’re sitting in the hay or they’re trying to eat the goats feed or the horse feed. I did all that as the kid and I just let them do it, you know, they want to push each other around in a wheelbarrow, let them do it, you know.”
Katie shares Junior and Princess with ex-husband Peter Andre. She also has eldest son Harvey, 22, with former Premier League star Dwight York, and son Jett, 10, and daughter Bunny, nine, with ex-husband Kieran Hayler.
