A video of a truly out-of-this-world private dining experience on the shores of scenic Loch Fyne has gone viral on TikTok, racking up over 100,000 views and scores of amazed comments.

The video, by expert Scottish food vlogger Pippa Perriam, who posts as @eatinburgh, showcases a trip to Wild Kabn Kitchen, a unique eatery housed in a beautiful Victorian greenhouse, run by Scottish Michelin-trained chef William Hamer.

Wild Kabn Kitchen is a chance for Hamer to showcase his unique talents when it comes to cooking over open flame and also using freshly foraged and home grown Scottish ingredients. The greenhouse offers a magical setting, too: filled with fairy lights and hanging vines.

In the video, Pippa describes the delicious fare she and her friend were served. They were also the only two diners in the greenhouse that evening – talk about intimate.

The first course was a sourdough flatbread made with ancient grain called beremeal from Orkney and served with Orkney butter. Beremeal is a flour made from bere, an ancient variety of barley that has been grown in Scotland since around 2000 BC.

The second course was made with charred leeks that had, again, been cooked over an open fire. After that the diners were treated to a roasted crown prince pumpkin with heather honey, followed by an unusual but delicious sounding venison dish made with croissants and cheese custard.

Dessert sounded lush as well: a sweet cake made with golden beets.

In the video caption, Pippa says: “If you’re looking for something unique to do in Scotland – this is it! It makes for the perfect day trip from Edinburgh or Glasgow.”

Dozens of people swarmed the comments to share their thoughts about the food and the gorgeous setting.

One woman said: “OMG I would cry. It’s so pretty.”

Another praised the chef, explaining: “We had a meal he cooked for the guests at Kilmartin Castle and it was incredible. A once-in-a-lifetime experience!”

Obviously once-in-a-lifetime experiences don’t come cheap, but dinner at Wild Kabn Kitchen isn’t extortionate when you factor in the extra-special level of service, quality and attention you get – plus that all-important, Instagram-worthy setting.

A private supper for two like the one enjoyed by Pippa will set you back £190: £95 per person. Will also offers Sunday lunch for £85 per person, as well as monthly supper clubs and a range of gift vouchers. You can view them all and book here.
