AUSTIN, Texas — Austin Police Department (APD) officers on the scene of a deadly shooting involving an officer on North FM 620 in northwest Austin.
APD said just before 10 a.m. Thursday that officers were responding to the shooting in the 9500 block of North FM 620. That’s near the MAA Canyon Pointe apartments.
In an update about 30 minutes later, APD said the call came in as an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. No officers were injured, but a suspect is dead.
No additional information is immediately available, but APD is expected to provide a media briefing soon. KVUE has a crew on the scene.
