This Morning viewers have been left disgusted after watching a woman describe how she sells her own sweat online.
During an episode of the ITV morning programme this week, influencer Alexia Grace appeared to discuss her unusual money-making hustle.
The 25-year-old from Derbyshire has been making up to £10,000 per week by selling the fluid, as well as sweaty items she’s worn when working out.
Speaking to hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, Alexia explained how after graduating university she worked as cabin crew before switching to become a barista.
However, after the pandemic hit, she needed a way to make more money.
But it was when a man messaged and asked to buy her head guard after watching her compete in a boxing competition did the way she could do so become clear.
‘After that the people came flowing in,’ she said of men messaging asking to buy her sweat too.
Clearly shocked by the ‘lucrative’ side hustle, the hosts asked Alexia how she got sweaty enough to bottle up her bodily fluids.
She then explained she would wear a sweat suit and then ring various items like socks out.
With a tiny vial going for around £150, Alexia then left the hosts gobsmacked revealing one man has spent £40,000 on her sweaty items.
Admitting these sales had ‘put me in a very good position’, Alexia said she ‘wasn’t a big spender’ but had managed to buy a house and car with the earnings.
However, Ben admitted he was worried about her safety.
‘Do you feel safe doing this? I worry some of these people…are quite obsessed with the idea of what you’re giving them,’ he said.
Responding, she replied: ‘Of course there’s a risk factor but the platform does keep you safe. These men don’t know where I live, and I also have two security dogs.
‘At first my family warned me and said I needed to be careful, but I’ve now been doing OnlyFans for four years and selling my sweat for nearly two years and nothing bad has happened.’
She added the plan was to pursue this line of work for ‘as long as I can’, joking it would also be until she can ‘sweat no more’.
‘I want to go back into being a barista and open my own coffee shop,’ she added.
Despite being uncertain about being gifted a vial each, the hosts said they were impressed by her efforts.
‘Whatever we all think about it, you are going about this in a very smart way and it’s extraordinary to hear what you are doing,’ he told her.
However, his sentiments weren’t exactly echoed by This Morning viewers.
‘Another reason why the world has gone bonkers: some woman’s making bank by selling their own damn sweat,’ Steve posted on X.
‘Flicking through the channels and there is a woman on here selling her sweat!!! Wtf?!!! What a twisted world we have become,’ Dolly shared.
‘Who are these morons paying for a girl’s sweat. Ridiculous,’ Colin added.
Meanwhile Jo joked: ‘Blimey, all us peri menopausal women suffering with night sweats could make a fortune.’
After appearing on the show, Alexia shared a series of photos from set, writing: This was an amazing experience! Thank you @itv @thismorning for having me on your show.’
