BBC star Sophie Willan has revealed she was caught having sex in the Blue Peter garden.
The Ludwig actress, 37, admitted she was caught in the act by security guards after doing it behind a ‘shrub’.
Speaking on Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Sophie explained: ‘It was a full moon, I’d drunk a lot of Guinness.
‘There was a big shrub we thought would be a good spot.
‘The security came over on those little scooters and said, “We can all see you in the studios on CCTV”.’
‘I never got a badge,’ Sophie laughed on Greg Davies’ panel show, as co-star Jamali Maddix replied to her story by saying: ‘They should have presented you with a Blue Peter Badge.’
The Alma’s Not Normal creator previously revealed she’s still with her boyfriend, fellow comic Jonny Pelham, after they were caught at the BBC studios together.
According to The British Comedy Guide, she said earlier this year: ‘I don’t really like first dates, I think just get drunk with someone by accident, sleep with them and then see how it goes from there.
‘Me and Jon have been together eight years, we were friends before.’
She went on to say that ‘something strange happened to me’ after the Guinness’, adding: ‘I looked across the table and thought, “He’s actually quite hot” and pounced on him.’
Sophie now jokes about the matter to save from any further embarrassment.
She said: ‘This is why we do what we do as comedians. You go on stage, you own it. You’ve got to make the most of it. It’s out there now.
‘But every time I go past that shrub now I think, “God, it’s tiny”… We’ve been together eight years now, by accident.’
Sophie is full of wild anecdotes, having once revealed she robbed her old boss, while dressed as a gnome, as she was working as an escort.
‘I’d written a play called The Gnome Bandit. It was a really strange play. I was on a night out and I was always telling people about what I was up to. I was on this dance floor and I was like ‘I’ve written a play, it’s called The Gnome Bandit.’
‘And this guy was like ‘I’ve got a festival in Wales and it’s all about gnomes.’ And I was like, “oh, I’ve got to be there”,’ Sophie told Unforgiveable hosts Mel Giedroyc and Lou Sanders.
‘But I had no money so we thought, “how do we get there?”
‘And I remembered that at the in-call apartment when we used to have clients, what you’d do at the end of your bookings is you’d get your percentage for your madam and you chuck it in the washing machine.
‘So on a Sunday around 6am, that washing machine was full of cash. I had an idea that we should go to the madam’s in call apartment, nick all of the money out the washing machine to pay for our travel to get there.
‘But then we thought, well, she knows my faces cause she’s got CCTV. So I said, “well, I’ve got my gnome costume.” So I dressed up as a garden gnome.’
