Former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here winner Dougie Poynter has issued a warning to his fellow bandmate Danny Jones just days before he enters the famous jungle.

McFly singer Danny, 38, is set to appear on the ITV hit competition as he competes to be crowned King of the Jungle.

There is a lot of pressure for the star as he follows in the footsteps of drummer Dougie, who won the competition in 2011, while Tom’s wife Giovanna Fletcher, was crowned Queen Of The Jungle in 2020.

During an appearance on the Tuesday (November 12) episode of ITV This Morning, Dougie warned Danny to “stay away” from cooking so he can avoid “conflict”.

Speaking to hosts Cat Deeley and Dermot O’Leary, Dougie admitted that the ‘hardest’ part of being in the jungle was constantly being hungry.

He revealed: “It’s being hungry. You have super low energy, no personality and you’re hungry concurrently and you just obsess over food. You can’t believe in everyday life that you can just go walk into a shop and buy anything.”

Cat was quick to point out: “It’s very interesting to me because it’s very political who does the cooking and for me that seems to be where all the arguments happen or start.”

Touching on his time in the jungle, Dougie explained: “I stayed away from the cooking but I can’t cook anyway.”

Shifting attention to Danny, Cat asked: “But he likes cooking though Danny so do you think he will be able to do that or will he get involved?”

Dougie took the opportunity to issue a warning to his friend as he said: “Well he’s not good with conflict so I say stay away from the cooking and just do the dougie because that’s what I did.”

Ben and Cat gasped in disbelief as Dougie explained: “No because then everyone likes you because you clean up all the poo.”

It comes as Danny was the first star to touch down in Brisbane Airport ahead of I’m Celeb’s debut on Sunday night.

The singer arrived with last year’s King of the Jungle, Sam Thompson, former contestant Joel Dommett and the radio DJ Kemi Rodgers who are hosting the spin-off show, I’m a Celebrity… Unpacked.

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV and ITVX at 10am
