Rutherglen Care Home held its annual Remembrance Day Service on Saturday, November 9 in Waverley House.
British Legion Branch Chairman Mick Gethan and Area Vice Chairman Stewart Walker were both in attendance, as were representatives from the Glasgow & Lanarkshire Battalion of Army Cadets from Cambuslang.
Residents were joined by family members and staff for the service which was conducted by Rev. Neil Watson from Stonelaw Church.
All present felt a sense of sadness and pride in honouring the sacrifice of those who served in the Armed Forces.
Activity coordinator Maureen Thomson said: “We are very grateful to British Legion, Army Cadets and Rev. Watson for giving their time to remember with us at this busy time in their schedules”.
Isa Daniels, a 96-year-old resident, added: “That was a lovely service.”
