PRINCETON, W.Va. – A four-legged friend is now safe thanks to a unique response from one local fire department.
The call came from the Community Connections building in Princeton, with employees unsure of when a cat found its way into the basement of the building and made his way into the ceiling.
After an unsuccessful rescue attempt, a family member of a firefighter made a direct call to someone who they knew could help.
“You know, contrary to popular belief, we do not get cats out of trees, but this is the second time that I’ve rescued a cat out of the walls or the floor of a home,” said Princeton Fire Chief, Charlie Croy.
If owners do not step forward and claim the cat, those at Community Connections say they may just have a new office pet.
