The Tudor Hotel in Airdrie is reopening this week following a refurbishment to celebrate its 80th anniversary.
The 20-bedroom venue has been taken over by Mohan Singh Aujla, who has given the interiors a complete makeover, with updated décor and enhanced facilities.
The hotel’s function rooms and popular restaurant have been redesigned with a vibrant layout and the kitchens have new state-of-the-art equipment to cater for 170 covers with a diverse range of menu options.
All existing employees remain at the hotel and the team is being expanded as the restaurant and function offering has a new focus, with the creation of up to 20 jobs across the hotel, reception and dining areas.
Aujla said: “The Tudor is a beloved local landmark, well-known for hosting events – and we are thrilled to be taking over its management during this milestone year.
“We’ve expanded our menu offering to include Italian, Scottish and Indian dishes, along with a new full range of Cremco Fish and Chips.
“All our food is locally sourced and freshly prepared on site and we’ve introduced lunch specials and pre-theatre menus. Plus, our Christmas menu promises to delight guests throughout the festive season.”
In addition to the restaurant, two separate on-site function rooms and Harry’s Bar are currently being redecorated.
A soft launch opening event is being held on November 14 where members of the public will have the opportunity to experience the newly refurbished venue first-hand.
“Taking on the Tudor is an exciting step and we are committed to ensuring its legacy continues,” said Aujla.
“We’re also proud to retain all the hotel’s existing staff, who are an integral part of the business.
“In addition, we are creating up to 20 new jobs across the hotel, further expanding our team to meet the growing demand for our enhanced services.”
