PRINCETON, W.Va. – West Virginia American Water announced they are working to replace water main in Princeton.

The project is already going, and includes replacing 1,940 feet of aging water main from North Wickham Avenue to the end of Prince Street. American Water said the upgrades will improve service reliability for customers and reduce service disruptions.

American Water said there will be traffic restrictions while work is being done.

The project is expected to be done and customer service lines connected by the end of December.

While construction is going on, American Water said people could see service disruptions, discolored water, and possible lower water pressure.

To report water related emergencies such as leaks, main breaks or other service disruptions, customers can submit a service request on the company’s website.
