I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’s Coleen Rooney seems thrilled to meet her fellow campmates in first look pictures of the launch episode.
The star signing has been snapped becoming acquainted with the people she’s about to spend the next few weeks getting to know very well, ahead of series 24 beginning on Sunday.
Standing on an Australian beach, Coleen, 38, met YouTube star GK Barry,Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall, boxer Barry McGuigan, and radio host Melvin Odoom.
During the gathering, Coleen and GK, 25, went in for a warm hug, possibly indicating that they could form a close bond while living down under.
With the group not yet facing one of the famously gruesome Bushtucker trials, they were able to just enjoy the picturesque surroundings and looked relaxed.
However, shortly after the friendly exchanges, the group changed into their jungle uniforms and made their way into camp where the challenges will truly begin.
Before being given their red shorts and khaki shirts, Coleen didn’t waste the opportunity to show off her impeccable style for one final time. Opting for green trousers, and matching shirt, she had perhaps theme dressed for what was to come.
22 years after the ITV series began the casting team have really outdone themselves for the 2024 line-up, which also includes the likes of Tulisa and Danny Jones.
Getting Coleen to agree to the show has been hailed as one of the biggest coops of the year.
Earlier this week, we also saw pictures that revealed Jane Moore was thrown off course with her skydiving stunt.
They have now officially entered the jungle and will be gearing themselves up for Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s grim bushtucker trials.
On November 14, the celebrities were seen ditching their luxury Australian hotel for a helicopter as many of them parachuted in to camp.
However, Loose Women’s Jane, 62, got off to a challenging start after her landing went wrong, according to the Daily Mail.
The broadcaster did manage to land safely – but ended up half a mile away from her intended destination on Byron Bay beach due to breezy weather,
When asked by holidaymakers if she was unharmed, Jane gave them the thumbs up, according to the outlet.
She was later seeing looking elated with her arms outstretched.
But before they set off on their terrifying journey, stars including Oti Mabuse, 34, Jane and Dean McCullough shared a supportive hug on a balcony.
Showing no fear of being captipulated out of the sky, McFly’s Danny, 38, was seen enthusiatically making a beeline for his helicopter.
Meanwhile, BBC Radio 1 presenter Dean, 32, was seen with his legs akimbo as he plunged to earth with a skydiver.
I’m A Celebrity has also revealed what viewers can expect from the very first episode on Sunday.
The campmates will be instructed to pair up and participate in a number of challenges, competing against their fellow campmates in a bid to cross the finish line first.
The winning pair will be awarded the coveted title of the first leaders of camp, they’ll be exempt from any chores, will get to sleep in the Leaders’ lodge, and run the camp exactly the way they’d like.
The luxurious Leaders’ Lodge boasts two wonderfully comfy beds with mattresses, shelter from the rain, as well as plush duvets and pillows guaranteed to keep them warm and snug during their jungle stay.
The notorious camp leader chair has also transformed this year, with two red leatherbound seats for the two equal leaders of camp, working closely together at all times to rule and maintain a harmonious camp.
But even the campmates in the Leaders’ Lodge won’t be able to rest easy as ITV has revealed there is a hidden twist ‘guaranteed to shake things up.’
And their very first challenge will lead you reaching for the sickbucket as they have to neck a coctkail of blended bull’s penis with fish eyes and a garnish of vomish fruit before parachuting onto the beach.
While there’s still all to play for on I’m A Celebrity, bookmakers have already cast predictions on who could become King or Queen of the Jungle.
Danny is currently the early 4/1 favourite to win the competition according to Coral, with the bookmaker fancying him to repeat McFly bandmate Dougie Poynter’s feat of 13 years ago.
Coming in second place is IAC’s star booking, Wagtha Christie’s very own Coleen, with her chances of winning at just 5/1 with bookmaker Coral.
That will come as a relief to ITV bosses who splurged on Coleen – reportedly paying her the highest fee in the show’s history, surpassing that of Nigel Farage’s last year.
Bookies are predicting that Barry will be the first star to be booted out of the jungle, with his chances of winning just 20/1.
He shares the same odds as Jane, whose time in the jungle might also be cut short, if the bookies are correct.
I’m A Celebrity is expected to last for three weeks, when one campmate will follow in the footsteps of reigning champion Sam Thompson.
