Viewers tuning in on Netflix to watch the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul boxing match were left furious with constant buffering and streaming issues ahead of the big fight.
Thousands of people took to X to report problems with the streaming giant in the early hours of Saturday morning.
With Netflix broadcasting a major boxing event for the first time, lagging issues and frozen pictures were reported with sound issues also creeping in during coverage of the blistering co-main event between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.
With #netflix crash creeping up social media trends, one user wrote: ‘Netflix after scamming everyone into watching a fight they have no idea how to support technically,’ one user wrote.
Another added: ‘You had one job tonight, @netflix #NetflixFight Quit trying to gaslight me and blame my internet connection.’
World title challenger Anthony Yarde was also among those not amused with the streaming issues, writing on X: ‘I did not stay up this late for Netflix to crash like this.’
Viewers were also, erm, treated to the sight of Tyson’s exposed back-side in the lead up to the main event.
In between rounds of the Taylor vs Serrano fight, cameras went backstage to Tyson’s locker room.
After a brief backstage interview, Tyson turned his back on the camera to switch focus back to his pre-fight preparations, showing viewers his bare butt cheeks before footage quickly switched back to the ringside action.
‘Netflix stopped buffering just in time for us to see Mike Tyson’s a*s,’ one fan said.
American actress Rosie Perez, part of the commentary team, was equally baffled, commenting; ‘We could have done without that butt shot there.’
