Rebekah Vardy has chosen the perfect moment to revive her long-standing feud with Coleen Rooney. With Coleen distracted by her appearance on I’m A Celebrity, Rebekah has taken the opportunity to launch a series of scathing attacks on her Wagatha adversary, making pointed remarks about her sex life and claiming that Coleen has always envied her lifestyle.
However, Nicola McLean, a friend of both women and the Mirror’s upcoming I’m A Celebrity columnist, has expressed her enthusiasm for the drama, but also voiced a concern about the potential fallout. Nicola noted that Rebekah’s decision to write about Coleen despite their tumultuous past is a testament to her unapologetic nature, and that the public’s fascination with WAG drama will likely be satiated by Rebekah’s forthcoming columns.
Nicola stated: “This is why I say Rebekha Vardy is unapologetically her, because I don’t know anybody else who’d want to do a column writing about Coleen Rooney after all this drama. But you’ve got to love it. We all love a WAG drama and the fact that Becky is going to give us more for the next three weeks is utterly genius.
“I do worry though that if Coleen is doing really well, is Becky going to say she’s doing well? I don’t know. Wagatha is the gift that keeps on giving. Coleen going into the jungle and Rebekah commenting on it – who would have thought it? They’re doing Ant and Dec’s job for them.
“They’re going to have so much material to work on. This could be the funniest I’m A Celebrity yet. I admire strong women and both of these girls are strong in different ways. Can’t wait to see Coleen in the jungle and can’t wait to see what Rebekah Vardy has got to say about it.”
Nicola will be dishing out her thoughts on I’m A Celebrity live every Monday on the Mirror’s social platforms, with a feature in next Sunday’s edition, reports the Mirror. This follows Rebekah Vardy, Jamie Vardy’s wife, joining The Sun as a guest columnist before the new series of the ITV programme kicks off tomorrow night.
In a chat with the publication, she expressed her intent to keep a close eye on the reality series.
Rebekah also looked back at her infamous Wagatha Christie saga from 2022, which saw her saddled with a £1.8 million legal bill after a high-profile court loss. She faced another defeat in the courts in October this year, incurring yet another substantial cost.
Reflecting on the former footballer’s testimony during the libel case two years ago, she took a swipe at his performance, quipping to The Sun: “The best bit to come from Wayne’s evidence was him being likened to a ‘hot potato’. I wonder if you cut him open, if he’s all cheese and beans – because he’s defo full of s***! “.
She didn’t hold back when commenting on Coleen’s intimate life either, responding to whether a camel testicle might be the worst thing Coleen has ever tasted by saying, “I don’t know. You have to look at her husband for that one.”
