Two men have been charged after an alleged “stabbing” in a Scots town.
Emergency services raced to Avenue Road in Kinross, Perth and Kinross, after receiving reports of a serious assault at 9.40pm on Friday, November 15. Crews attended and a 44-year-old man was found seriously injured. He was taken to hospital for treatment, where his current condition is unknown.
Police confirmed two men, aged 26 and 37, were arrested in connection after officers conducted a car stop in Myrekirk, Dundee, at 12.55am on Saturday. They have since been charged and are due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Monday.
A statement from Police Scotland reads: “Around 9.40pm we received a report of the serious assault of a 44-year-old man at a property on Avenue Road, Kinross. Emergency services attended and he was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Officers carrying out enquiries stopped a car on Myrekirk, Dundee, around 12.55am on Saturday, 16 November, 2024 and two men, aged 26 and 37 were arrested and charged in connection. They are due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Monday, 18 November, 2024.”
