A grieving woman has been ‘raped’ whilst visiting a loved ones grave at night with police now hunting for the vile predator involved.
The woman was visiting a cemetery next to Church Street in Edenbridge, Kent, at around 9pm last Saturday, November 9, when she was sexually assaulted by an unknown man.
Kent Police have now released a description of the male as being quite tall and of slim build. He was wearing a coat which may have had a fur hood, reports the Mirror.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “It is reported a woman visiting a cemetery next to Church Street was physically and sexually assaulted by an unknown man. The incident happened between 9pm and 9.30pm on Saturday November 9. It was reported last Tuesday. The suspect was described as being quite tall and of slim build. He was wearing a coat which may have had a fur hood.”
The statement added: “Officers are continuing to pursue several inquiries to establish the full circumstances, including forensic analysis at the scene, checks for CCTV opportunities and extensive house-to-house inquiries.”
Police have urged anyone with information on the incident to come forward, no matter how small or insignificant they think the detail may be.

You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or by using their online form,” the statement said. “Motorists with dash-cam who may have been near the area, as well as businesses and residents with doorbell cameras or CCTV, are also asked to check for any important footage.”
