WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Outlander.
As Outlander returns for season seven, part two, fans are looking back at where the Frasers were at the end of the first half.
Plenty happened in the seventh outing of the MGM+ and Starz drama, with Brianna (played by Sophie Skelton) and Roger Wakefield (Richard Rankin) adjusting to life with their two children in the 1980s.
Meanwhile, back in the 18th Century, Young Ian (John Bell) met with some Quakers and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) were reunited with his and Lord John Grey’s (David Berry) son William Ransom (Charles Vandervaart), a British soldier before the Second Battle of Saratoga.
With part two on its way, here’s everything that went on in the Outlander season seven midseason finale.
Jamie almost shoots William
While Jamie has been fighting on the side of the American’s his secret biological son William has been on the other side of the war.
In episode eight, Jamie is ordered to fire on his uncle Simon Fraser (Angus Macfadyen) but refuses and accidentally shoots at his son’s hat.
Following the battle, Jamie returns the hat to William and briefly speaks to his son for the first time since he’s been an adult, with the latter unaware of their relation.
Unfortunately for Simon, he is killed anyway, despite Jamie refusing to shoot during the fight.
Arch Bug is back
Young John and Quaker Rachel (Izzy Meikle-Small) kissed before finally sharing their true feelings for one another, even though it would be frowned upon if they were to get married.
Ian leaves with Claire and Jamie after the British surrender with Rachel agreeing to look after his dog while he’s gone.
However, Young Ian bumps into Arch Bug (Hugh Ross), whose wife he accidentally killed, and has sworn revenge ever since.
So with Rachel and his dog within arm’s reach, will Arch Bug have a plan to get his own back up his sleeve?
Return to Scotland
It’s been quite some time since the Frasers were last seen in Scotland but make the trip back in order to bury Simon’s body.
The midseason finale ends with the three of them on the ship, looking out to their beloved homeland, relieved to be back where they belong at last.
Back through the stones
There’s trouble for Roger and Brianna though in the 1980s after their son Jemmy goes missing.
And thanks to Mandy’s psychic connection with her brother, it is thought that Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton) has taken him through the stones.
So it’s up to Roger and William Buchleigh MacKenzie (Graham McTavish) to go back through the stones and find Jemmy before Rob causes any more problems.
Outlander season seven, part two, premieres on Friday, November 22 on MGM+ via Prime Video in the UK and Starz in the US.
