While on the hunt for a new pair of jeans, I explored various online sources to find the most talked-about brands and came across a pair at Primark. TikTok users have been raving about them, describing them as “flattering” and “comfortable.”
Curious about the buzz surrounding Primark’s Paula Echevarría Sculpting Bootcut Jeans, I decided to visit my local store to see for myself. Standing at 5ft3, I opted for a size six in the fitting room.
It quickly became clear why these jeans received such acclaim. Priced at £18, these bootcut denim jeans featured a sculpting design and included five practical pockets. They fit snugly yet offered plenty of stretch, crafted from wonderfully textured denim.
The bootcut style is famous for making legs look longer and highlighting curves, and when I looked in the mirror, I was thrilled – the jeans really showcased my shape. The pictures I took clearly displayed how flattering they were.
Impressed by both the quality and the price, I made the decision to buy them without hesitation. Even my mum, who was with me, encouraged me to grab them, insisting I’d be crazy to let such a great deal slip away
On Primark’s website, the jeans are described as: “These sculpting indigo bootcut jeans from the Primark Presents Paula Echevarría collection are a great way to embrace Y2K style. They’re cut from classic cotton denim for comfortable wear and feature signature denim hallmarks, like belt loops, a button and concealed front fastening, and a five-pocket design.
“These jeans showcase a retro-inspired bootcut silhouette that’s fitted through the thigh before flaring out slightly from the knee down, which offers a sculpted effect for a flattering look. Pair these jeans with chunky trainers for a casual feel or lean into what they were made for a cute pair of boots.”
I got the regular leg length jeans in indigo, but there’s also a black option available for the same price. These jeans are crafted from 92% cotton, 6% elastomultiester, and 2% elastane. After picking them up last Saturday, I decided to wear them for brunch on Sunday.
I really love how they look and feel, but I made the mistake of not washing them first. When I got back from brunch, I noticed blue marks on my white trainers right where the jeans had touched them. It seems the dye from the jeans transferred onto my trainers, and the rain that day didn’t help matters either.
I took a dedicated trip to grab some stain remover, and while I did manage to get the marks out, it took quite a bit of time. Given that the jeans were only £18, I guess I shouldn’t have anticipated an easy fix.
Once they’re washed, I’ll be wearing them again. Just a heads-up for anyone thinking of getting a pair: don’t make the same mistake I did! To tackle the stains, I combined baking soda and dish soap in a bowl of lukewarm water and then scrubbed my trainers with an old toothbrush.
