(CNN) – Multiple sources tell CNN that President-elect Donald Trump will nominate Linda McMahon as education secretary.
McMahon served for two years as head of the Small Business Administration during Trump’s first presidential term.
However, she is best known for her involvement in professional wrestling.
McMahon is the co-founder and former chief executive officer of World Wrestling Entertainment.
Sources say McMahon’s pick as education secretary came about after it became clear she would not be picked for commerce secretary.
Trump recently nominated Howard Lutnick to head the Commerce Department.
