ITV’s I’m A Celebrity viewers have been left irked by one campmate’s grating habit, with some fans calling for an end to it.
The new series kicked off on ITV this Sunday, introducing a fresh batch of 10 celebrities to the challenges of jungle life. Among them is TikTok sensation and podcaster GK Barry who has already made her mark.
During the opening episode, she was heard screaming repeatedly throughout the initial tasks, drawing attention from viewers.
As anticipated, GK, real name Grace Keeling, was chosen by the public to face the first bushtucker trial on Monday night, dubbed Vile Volcano.
Despite her screams, she courageously completed the trial, securing nine out of ten stars for the camp. However, her tendency to scream resurfaced in Tuesday’s episode.
The jungle environment inevitably brings its share of wildlife encounters, and while the celebrities slept, two possums crept into the camp.
GK Barry had a frightful experience herself when she discovered a leech on her hand and let out a scream, prompting viewers to question her decision to join the show, reports the Manchester Evening News.
One viewer took to X to express their bewilderment: “I do wonder why GK Barry went into the jungle if she’s screaming at everything going on her has she never seen the show.”
Another fan: “Love Grace! ! But the screaming has to stop.” Another fan highlighted the annoyance the constant screaming must be causing the other campmates, commenting: “Feel sorry for the camp mates having to put up with all that screaming”.
Meanwhile, some else questioned: “The camp mates wondering how GK Barry got 9 stars when she’s screaming over her own hand.” One person offered a different take, suggesting the noise could have a practical use: “GK Barry screaming would make the ultimate alarm clock.”
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! airs at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX
