Tesco is recalling a popular dip due to the presence of salmonella discovered during routine testing.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued a food recall on its Tzatziki Dip on behalf of the supermarket.
Symptoms caused by salmonella typically include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps. Tesco advised: “If you have purchased any of the affected date codes of the above product, please do not eat it.”
The affected batch is the Tesco Tzatziki Dip 200g with a use-by date of November 24, 2024.
Tesco further added: “Instead, return the item to any Tesco store for a full refund, no receipt is required.”
For further enquiries, customers can contact the UK customer service team on 0800 505 555 or the ROI customer service team on 1800 248 123. Tesco reassured customers that no other products were affected by this issue, reports the Express.
In other food recall news, Aldi recently recalled its Let’s Party Vegetable Bao Buns as they contain sesame and duck, which is not mentioned on the label. This makes the product a potential health risk for anyone with an allergy to sesame.
The pack size is eight and all date codes are affected. Customers are urged to return the product to their nearest store for a full refund.
