INSTITUE, W.Va. – The WVSSAC Class A volleyball state tournament is back after a multi-week hiatus.
This comes as the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals ruled in favor of the WVSSAC, vacating all injunctions from Tyler and Hardy Counties. The issue arose after Tyler Consolidated was reclassified to Class A near the start of the postseason after being in Class AA for most of the season. The Supreme Court ruled Tyler County exceeded its authority to reclassify Tyler Consolidated. The injunction initially is what put the tournament on pause as a whole.
The tournament will now be played December 2nd-3rd at West Virginia State University, with the state championship set at 11 a.m. on the 3rd.
