Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson will spend the holidays together as a family despite reportedly living under separate roofs amid their rumored separation.

The 44-year-old fashion designer and former NFL tight end, 45, “plan on being all together for the holidays with the kids,” an insider told Us Weekly on Friday. “It’s all about the kids and family. They don’t hate each other.”

The estranged couple share three children: Maxwell, 12; Ace, 11; and Birdie, 5.

The update comes a week after multiple insiders confirmed to the outlet that Simpson is “heartbroken” as she and Johnson are “living separately right now.”

The separation was “not an easy decision for her,” said one of the sources. Another said the two are “still figuring things out,” namely how to navigate their new dynamic “without disrupting their kids’ lives as much as possible.”

The sources confirmed the split days after those with direct knowledge told TMZ that Simpson’s camp had reached out to divorce attorneys regarding her marriage, but said no official moves had been made just yet.

Simpson fanned the speculative flames earlier this month when she shared several snaps of herself with a cryptic caption.

“Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic. This comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve,” Simpson wrote.

She did not explicitly mention whether she was referring to treatment in her marriage or her contentious relationship with the spotlight.

Simpson and Johnson married in 2014 after four years of dating. She was previously married to Nick Lachey, with whom she starred on MTV’s hit reality show “Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica.”
