I’m A Celebrity championship Giovanna Fletcher offered Danny Jones some frank advice before he entered the jungle Down Under.

Chatting on BBC’s The One Show, the 39-year-old dished on her insights about the McFly star’s time on the ITV show and how she reckons he’s holding up.

Being the other half of McFly’s Tom Fletcher, Giovanna is no stranger to jungle life herself, having been crowned queen of the castle during the series’ stint at Gwrych Castle in 2020.

Not only did she chat with The One Show hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp about her I’m A Celeb success, but she also recalled how McFly’s Dougie Poynter nabbed the title back in 2011, as well as Busted star Matt Wilis.

Giovanna’s advice to the musician was simply to “enjoy the experience”. She shared: “I said enjoy the experience, because I think so often so many people can say ‘you’re filmed 24 hours a day, is that really intense? ‘ No.”

She added: “Well no, because I think often now in everyday life in real life, we’re so accessible all the time, we’re so aware of pings going off, people knocking. Everyone wants something all the time.”

Sharing her own take on the unique jungle escapade, she further revealed: “But when you’re in there, you can only be in that moment”.

Danny was seen facing his fears head-on in Friday night’s Bush Tucker trial (November 22), teaming up with campmate Dean McCullough to secure a commendable eight stars. However, prior to entering the I’m A Celeb jungle, Danny confessed that he nearly missed his flight to Australia.

He admitted: “Leaving the house was one of the most stressful mornings of my life.” Discussing his eleventh-hour decision to join the show, he explained: “Because one: I’m leaving. I didn’t know I was doing the show, right? Until, like, pretty last minute.”

“My wife has to move house. I was meant to be, like, I’ve done this. I’ve done the 21st anniversary, we’ve been touring for two years straight,” according to the Mirror.

The star then revealed that he couldn’t locate his passport, resulting in a frantic scramble to retrieve it before his flight.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! airs Mondays- Sundays at 9pm on ITV1.
