Club Brugge are out to SILENCE the Celtic fans and make it a Champions League night to remember in Glasgow.
That’s what midfielder Ardon Jashari has been saying ahead of the all-important showdown at Parkhead on Wednesday night. The Hoops welcome the Belgian side with both teams boosted by big weekend wins. Celtic eventually powered to a 4-1 win at Hearts in the Premiership, but Club Brugge romped to a 7-0 win against Sint-Truidense in their league too.
And Jashari, who was linked with Celtic in the summer of 2023, but eventually joined Brugge for £6million from homeland club Luzern, insists they won’t be intimidated by the Parkhead crowd on a Champions League night under the lights. He said: “There were no celebrations after the weekend win because we have a difficult away match against Celtic on Wednesday. And we know that the Scots can be very strong at home.
“It is up to us to silence their fans. I thought we played very well and it was the perfect way to prepare for such an important match.
“The most important thing for us was it showed we could bounce back so well to what was a disappointing result at Beerschot in our previous game. We had to react and we did.
“Now we have to show we can perform at the same level in Glasgow. A win at Celtic would be a big step to reaching the next round.”
