CHERAW, Colo. (KKTV/Gray News) – An Amber Alert that was initially issued Monday afternoon in Colorado for a 7-year-old boy has ben canceled.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation said the boy was found safe.

The alert was first issued at about 1:40 p.m.

Authorities originally believed the child may have been with a 26-year-old suspect.

The two were seen earlier at about 12:50 p.m. in the Cheraw area, which is north of La Junta.

The child was found safe, but state authorities did not immediately provide any information about the suspect’s location.
