I’m A Celebrity’s Maura Higgins is bracing herself to confront one of her greatest fears on Tuesday evening.
On Tuesday’s episode, fans of I’m A Celeb will watch as Maura Higgins and Jane Moore tackle the Bushtucker Trial dubbed Fright at the End of the Tunnel. The pair must collaborate effectively to collect stars for the camp.
While Jane manoeuvres through a series of submerged tunnels, Maura mirrors her efforts above ground. However, they’re not alone; both are accompanied by water-dwelling beasts and spine-chilling critters.
In a sneak peek, viewers see Maura wriggling through an enclosure filled with reptiles. As Ant encourages her to push forward, she emits a piercing shriek upon realising that spiders populate the next section.
She cries out to her fellow contestant: “Jane, I don’t know if I can do it. There’s an awful amount of spiders.”, reports the Express.
In an attempt to soothe her, Dec advises Maura: “Just take it nice and easy, just keep breathing.” Determined to persevere, Maura makes another effort to access the subsequent compartment but recoils and shields her face with her arms, exclaiming: “No, I can’t!”
The presenters inform Maura that for Jane to progress in the aquatic part of the challenge, she must advance into the spider-filled chamber. As Ant clarifies “it’s as simple as that”, viewers are left wondering whether Maura and Jane will succeed.
This follows after Dean McCullogh faced several jungle trials since his arrival at the camp.
The radio DJ, chosen by the public for nearly every trial, has twice yelled “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here”, much to the annoyance of hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly.
In a brutal jibe last night, Ant confessed he wouldn’t be following Dean on social media, leading fans to believe that Ant secretly harbours a dislike for the campmate.
*I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here airs this evening at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
