Rod Stewart has taken to social media to issue fans another snippet into his lavish life as he flaunted off his sports gym, which is believed to be an extended part of his £4.6million Essex mansion.

“Guess what football team I support,” penned the 79-year-old Maggie May rocker on Instagram to his fleet of 1.4million fans. He posed proudly with his hands in his pockets sporting his beloved Celtic FC gear.

Rod beamed as he stood centre stage wearing a Hoops hoodie, matching black trackies and, of course, a pair of green and white trainers as he stood below the Celtic logo printed against white walls.

Among the impressive amount of Celtic scarves hanging from the ceiling beams and framed football shirts was his impressive array of gym equipment. Fans were quick to share their thoughts on his impressive collection.

The photo showed a range of machines, TRX straps and a punching bag (which surprisingly was black and white, not green). There also appeared to be a small room at the back for the perfect place to make a brew.

One fan sarcastically responded to Rod’s Instagram caption: “Celtic I suppose…” as another echoed: “Celtic!!! The only Team!!” and a third quipped: “Not Rangers I assume?!”

Another fan noted: “Rod make sure you wrap up well next time in Glasgow especially if you’re near Govan it’s – 11 there at the moment.”

Elsewhere, the rock legend is set to grace the Glastonbury stage in 2025, taking on the festival’s prestigious legends slot, 23 years after his last performance there.

Having previously headlined the festival in 2002, Rod is the first confirmed act for Glastonbury 2025, which is scheduled to take place at Worthy Farm in Somerset from June 25 – 29.

As one of the world’s best-selling artists, he’ll join the ranks of Dolly Parton, Barry Gibb, Shania Twain, and Kylie Minogue, who have all previously delighted fans during the coveted Sunday teatime slot.

He expressed his excitement about the upcoming show, stating he’s “proud, ready and more than able to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury” come next June.

This announcement follows Stewart’s recent revelation that he plans to retire from “large-scale world tours” by the end of 2025.
