I’m A Celeb star GK Barry has been a hit with her witty one-liners and humorous takes on jungle life alongside her campmates and viewers have demanded a podcast with another campmate.
The online sensation has struck an unexpected bond with Reverend Richard Coles, and during Wednesday’s episode (November 27), their quirky exchanges were once again a highlight.
In her confessional, Grace shared: “Me and the Reverend talk about the most random stuff all day, I think I’m going to have attachment issues when I leave.”
She quipped about her newfound friendship, saying: “I’m going to start going to Church just to see him,” as viewers saw a clip of her humorously asking if he would conduct her funeral.
Viewers are loving the chemistry between the two and have expressed a desire for them to team up beyond the show, including guest appearances by the Reverend on GK’s ‘Saving Grace’ podcast, reports OK!.
On Instagram, fans voiced their support, with one user commenting: “Get these two their own show! Great duo! “.
Another wrote: “THIS!!!! This is what we all need. The Rev and GK, they are the twosome we never knew we needed.”
A third fan suggested: “Richard needs to be a guest on GK Barry’s podcast Saving Grace when they come out of the jungle. I’d definitely listen to it.”
And yet another admirer praised: “Loved listening to Grace and Reverend Richard tonight. For someone so young she seems so wise and is always in good form.
“I equally love it when younger people can connect with older people. We can learn so much from them.”
One fan gushed: “Absolutely love these two, I think they will definitely stay friends outside. That’s what I love about I’m A Celebrity, the unlikely friendships.”
Another admirer chimed in: “Absolutely love this lady! Her chats with the Rev are priceless.”
These comments follow insights from body language expert Inball Hongiman, representing Slingo, who observed: “GK Barry and Rev Richard Coles are truly enjoying getting to know each other in the jungle, and are not just playing up their friendship for the cameras, their body language says.”
Despite the age gap, with GK Barry being the youngest contestant and Rev Coles among the more senior, their growing bond is genuine and heartfelt, says the expert.
Hongiman added: “Neither of them is playing the fame game, they’re both there to have an interesting experience, meaning their expectations are aligned with one another and they can communicate openly as if there are no cameras.”
I’m A Celebrity continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX followed by I’m A Celebrity: Unpacked after the main show on ITV2
