An urgent hunt is on for four missing Lottery winners who have still not claimed their £1million prizes from a EuroMillions draw held last week. Allwyn, The National Lottery operator, revealed out of the 26 UK winners who scooped up £1 million each in last Friday’s special EuroMillions European Millionaire Maker draw, only 22 have come forward.

Two of the outstanding tickets were purchased online, while the other two were bought in retail stores, reports the Mirror. Players are being encouraged to check their paper tickets either by scanning them through the National Lottery app or at a store.

For those with retail-bought winning tickets, they’re advised to call the National Lottery Line at 0333 234 5050 to confirm their win and claim their prize. Meanwhile, online winners should be on alert for emails, need to log into their accounts, and ring the hotline as well.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at Allwyn, said: “I can’t believe that four ticket-holders out there are millionaires and they don’t even know it yet! It’s only been a week since this special draw, but 22 of these lucky UK-winning ticket-holders are already enjoying their life-changing win.

“We’re urging all EuroMillions players to check their paper tickets and their National Lottery accounts to see if they are one of our four missing millionaires. It’s been an incredible few days for UK EuroMillions players.

“On top of the 26 UK millionaires made in last Friday night’s draw, Tuesday saw one very lucky UK ticket-holder scoop the entire £177m jackpot which has since been claimed. In the space of four days, EuroMillions has seen 27 winners of prizes of over £1m and the total of these prizes is just over £203m.”

EuroMillions spans the UK, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland. For every line played, UK players automatically receive a EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker code printed on their ticket.

This guarantees a £1 million UK winner in every draw. On Friday, November 22, this code was entered into both the UK Millionaire Maker and the special European Millionaire Maker draw, offering multiple chances for UK players to win big.

In other European countries, winners received €1million (£830,000), but the prize was topped up to £1 million in the UK.

The National Lottery recently marked its 30th anniversary by achieving a massive £50 billion fundraising target for charitable causes. Since its inception on November 19, 1994, it has consistently raised over £30 million weekly for good causes.

Notable funding milestones over the past three decades include the opening of the Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, the Eden Project and the release of This Is England.
