The first celebrity to be ousted from this year’s edition of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! following an arduous fortnight in the Australian bush.

Loose Women’s Jane Moore, 62, was eliminated after securing the lowest number of public votes. The presenter left her fellow contestants in the camp with a tinge of disappointment, remarking, “Hard work doesn’t get rewarded.”

Crossing the iconic bridge to join presenters Ant and Dec for her exit interview, the series’ maiden departure interview, Jane later shed light on her jungle tenure. Queried if she felt disheartened about being the initial person voted off, Jane jubilantly exclaimed, “No more washing up! Yes!”

Viewers also expressed their opinions on her exit, with one commenting: “Jane first out – I think the Ageist/Sexist row from the other night rubbed people the wrong way,” reports the Express.

Another wrote: “I think the problem with Jane is she kinda faded into the background. . Can you really think about anything she’s done in two weeks, apart from a trial an the sexist thing.. too many big personalities in there.”

Conversely, another shared: “Jane shoulda been voted out after Dean tbh.”

Before navigating the famed exit bridge, Jane voiced her hope that someone who put in the effort would ultimately clinch victory on the show.

In another part of the episode, a fresh twist captivated the jungle mates as Ant and Dec informed them they could collectively decide who faced the day’s challenge, evocatively named ‘Tanks of Torture’.

With Oti Mabuse and Barry ready to take on the challenge, Melvin, who hadn’t yet faced a Trial, offered to step in for Barry – an offer that was swiftly accepted with a handshake.

As the courageous pair, Oti and Melvin, headed off to their daunting task, their fellow campmates cheered them on, while Barry joked: “Great! I’m going to bed.”

Upon arriving at the Trial site, Ant and Dec revealed the terrifying details of the ‘Tanks of Torture’. Trapped in enormous tanks, Oti and Melvin had to pass stars between them whilst dealing not only with water gradually filling their tanks but also the presence of mud crabs, eels, crocodiles, and water dragons.

At the same time, spiders and snakes filled their head bubbles during the 12-minute mission to release all 12 stars.

To cope with the creepy crawlies, Melvin closed his eyes and started humming while Oti couldn’t resist letting out a shriek. With the clock ticking, they had to keep up their pace to gather all the stars in time.

Under increasing pressure and with just 5 seconds left, Oti and Melvin managed to secure a flawless score of 12 stars for the camp. When her head bubble was finally removed, Oti screamed in reaction to the intense Trial. Overjoyed by their success, she hugged Ant and Dec, while Melvin celebrated with high fives.

Full of praise, Ant declared: “You can now call yourselves the new king and queen of the Bushtucker Trial! “. Back at camp, a thrilled Oti and Melvin were eager to share their triumph.

The camp was alive with jubilation as they all leapt up and hugged each other in an ecstatic manner. Reacting to their triumph, Melvin said: “Coming back to camp and saying that we got 12 stars felt like winning the World Cup and I don’t even like football!”
