(CNN) – A Canadian hiker missing for more than a month has been found alive.
Some workers spotted Sam Benastick coming out of the woods Tuesday on a remote road in British Columbia’s wilderness.
Benastick was previously reported missing when he didn’t come back from a 10-day camping trip. He braved freezing weather by making shelters and moving between campsites.
The workers said Benastick was in pretty rough shape and fatigued when they found him.
Doctors are now treating Benastick at an area hospital for frostbite, smoke inhalation and exhaustion.
His family says they are overjoyed by his return.
