Warwick Davis, the 64-year-old actor known for his roles in Star Wars and Harry Potter, has been a familiar face in Cornwall, being snapped around the area multiple times throughout 2024.

The celebrated actor, who portrayed characters like Professor Flitwick in the Harry Potter series, was most recently spotted by a van in Porthleven that specialises in house plants and succulents.

Not just a one-spot wonder, Warwick has graced various locations across Cornwall including Perranporth, Falmouth, and Truro. His affection for the region was evident when he expressed his sentiments during a shoot in Launceston: “Cornwall isn’t all about cream teas and scrumpy. It’s a county brimming with magic, mystery and plenty of strange surprises if you scratch beneath the surface.”

He’s become quite the local celebrity, always ready to engage with fans through photos, autographs, and supporting local establishments. His presence has been noted at Harry’s Toy Chest in Truro, a record shop in Falmouth, and Pavilion Ice Cornish Ice Cream Parlour in Perranporth.

Residing near Peterborough in Cambridgeshire, Warwick boasts an impressive career in television and film, having entered the industry at the tender age of 11. He’s renowned for his versatile portrayals in the Star Wars saga and as part of the magical world of Harry Potter, reports Cornwall Live.

Warwick is also known for his roles in the 1988 film Willow and the Leprechaun film series, as well as his self-portrayal in the sitcom Life’s Too Short. Beyond acting, he has hosted shows like Celebrity Squares and Tenable.

Born with spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita, a rare bone growth disorder causing dwarfism, Warwick stands at 107cm (3 feet 6 inches). He co-founded Little People UK, a charity offering support to individuals with dwarfism and their families.

His late wife Samantha, who passed away in March 2024, had achondroplasia. The pair met during the filming of Willow, where Samantha played a minor role as a Nelwyn villager.

Their two children, Annabelle and Harrison, have SED. Following her father’s path, Annabelle has established her own career in TV and film. She starred in the CBBC series The Dumping Ground from 2015 to 2022 and recently joined the cast of Channel 4’s popular soap Hollyoaks as Lacey Lloyd. Her credits also include appearances in two Star Wars films and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.
