Jane Moore from Loose Women faced an early departure from the I’m a Celebrity jungle on Friday, as viewers cast their votes for her exit and she didn’t hold back her thoughts. Upon leaving, she urged her campmates to make the most of their remaining time.

As her name was called out to leave the jungle first, Jane shared some parting words with her peers, asserting that “hard work does not get rewarded.” This comment appeared to allude to the “sexism” and “ageist” controversy she engaged in with camp leaders Danny Jones and Barry McGuigan regarding camp tasks.

Despite the charged atmosphere, Jane spoke of treasuring her time on the show and would do it again “in a heartbeat”. The television presenter found herself facing elimination against BBC Radio 1’s Dean McCullough.

Subsequent to her eviction and the sharp remarks made, social media erupted with fans expressing their dismay over her final actions in camp. One viewer’s critique was clear: “‘People don’t notice hard work’… we notice t*** though. Bye Jane! #ImaCeleb.”

While another echoed similar views: “‘People don’t notice hard work’ ngl I’m not voting for people to stay for doing chores, Jane #ImaCeleb,” reports the Express.

Another social media user posted an eye-rolling GIF alongside their observation: “The rest of the campmates hearing Jane still complaining on her way out #ImACeleb.”

One viewer grumbled: “HARD WORK DOES NOT GET REWARDED? Girl you did one trial and skipped most of it …. #ImaCeleb.” Meanwhile, another lamented: “Begging to do a trial since she started and can’t be f*****g a**ed to do half of it? What a sad little life Jane #imaceleb.”

However, some fans were upset with the outcome, vigorously complaining on social media platform X, insisting the vote was unjust: “GET DEAN OUT OF THAT CAMP MY GIRL JANE DID NOT DESERVE THIS #ImACeleb,” vented a viewer.

“I did think Jane would be 1st #ImACeleb,” commented someone else. In the meantime, two more viewers expressed their disbelief: “How come Dean is not first out? #imacelebrity2024” and “Jane’s right ‘hard work does not get rewarded’ she didn’t deserve to go first #ImaCeleb.”

Jane’s elimination from the show didn’t come as a shock to many after an on-air dispute with McFly’s Danny and Irish ex-professional boxer Barry regarding camp chores – who are both popular amongst fans. At the heart of the controversy, Jane disclosed that despite her request to be spared from washing up, she found herself assigned to the very task, a revelation that left her frustrated.

Camp leaders Danny and Barry seemed genuinely taken aback by Jane’s reaction to the chore assignment, believing they had chosen a less burdensome task for her compared to others in the camp.

While pondering over the allocation of tasks, Danny suggested: “I think we have to put Jane on washing up but the only thing I want to say is have we gone a bit male heavy on the strenuous jobs? ” To which Barry responded: “I think that’s a fair comment but I don’t think they’d thank us after a few days.”

This decision didn’t sit well with Jane, who angrily accused them of being “sexist,” and “ageist,” stirring further unrest in camp. Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, the Geordie presenting pair, shared their thoughts on Jane’s reaction as they discussed the growing tensions.

Ant remarked: “I think she is being a bit unfair by saying it’s sexist and ageist. I think they were just trying to do a good job in allocating fairly, if I’m honest.” Dec agreed, saying: “Yes, I agree. I feel for Barry, he was only trying to do his best.” Ant then sympathised: “Poor little Barry.”

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of here! will be back on ITV screens on Sunday.
