I’m A Celebrity viewers were left seething when presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly dropped a bombshell.

On Saturday, as they greeted fans live from the jungle, Ant and Dec sparked confusion by announcing that there would be no eviction that night following Jane Moore’s departure the evening before.

Jane, upon her exit, expressed frustration saying “hard work doesn’t get rewarded” after which she chatted with Ant and Dec about her stint in the wild. Yet, in tonight’s episode, it was revealed that no one else would be leaving the camp.

Disgruntled fans quickly took to social media, with one stating: “Well Ant and Dec have annoyed me already.. no vote out today? ! Dean needs to go #ImACeleb,” and another suggesting: “Seems a bit of a fix from the producers to keep Dean in at least another 2 days. It’s like they want him to stay, because I swear they reopened the vote last night? #ImACeleb.”

Another viewer expressed their exasperation: “Trying to figure out what the point was having a vote off last night, but not a vote off tonight #ImACeleb,”, while yet another lamented: “Wait…why is no one leaving? Been looking forward to Dean getting the boot tonight and now no one’s going!” Another shared: “They didn’t open the voting last night, everybody. Quite the clue that nobody was leaving tonight.” One wrote: “No one leaving meaning another day with Dean, to make things worse camp leaders are changing why?”

In a candid exit interview, Jane expressed her feelings: “I’m not going to sugar coat it I’m really disappointed to be first out because I hoped that people would see how hard I worked and how integral I was to the camp.

“I would have liked to have been second or third, I knew I wasn’t going to make it the whole way. But I can’t say that anyone deserved to be out before me. My camp bestie was Danny.”

Jane also mentioned that while viewers might be “disappointed” with little drama, it’s the “hard workers” who were overshadowed.

“We discussed at one point that maybe we were all getting on too well because viewers like it when there’s drama, but we couldn’t do it. I think you need to ask Melvin [Odoom] if Dean [McCullough] was pulling his weight. There are the show people in the camp, that are providing the entertainment, maybe people that are providing good TV. There are hard workers that allow them to be flamboyant,” she shared during a conversation on I’m A Celebrity: Unpacked.
