Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had the world’s attention with the release of their 2022 Netflix documentary.

The six-part series delved into the lives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex following their decision to step away from the Royal Family back in 2021. The show also caused tensions to flare up between Harry, Meghan and the rest of ‘the Firm’ as the pair made a host of allegations and claims about the behind closed doors reality of being a royal.

Of course, tensions between the family have ceased to ease since, with relations between the likes of King Charles and heir to the throne William with Harry continuing to this day and said to be at an “all time low”.

But after the release of Harry & Meghan on Netflix, Kate Middleton and Zara Tindall appeared to have teamed up to shut down claims made by Meghan through a “hidden” message.

In the third episode of the duke and duchess’ explosive documentary, the former actress said she purposely chose to not wear bright colours during her time as a senior royal and explained that her usual colour palette was “camel, beige and white”.

She claims this was a deliberate decision to avoid clashing with the late Queen Elizabeth II, as we previously reported.

Meghan said: “There was thought in that, to my understanding, you can’t ever wear the same colour as Her Majesty if there’s a group event.

“I wore a lot of muted tones but it also was so I could just blend in. Like I’m not trying to stand out here.”

However, just a week after the episode dropped on the streaming platform, the Princess of Wales hosted her annual Christmas Carol concert at Westminster Abbey which was attended by numerous members of the Royal Family.

For the occasion, the future Queen opted for a burgundy coat from Eponine in London which she paired with a matching clutch bag and shoes.

Other royals also wrote the bright colour, including Zara Tindall, who is the daughter of Princess Anne and the niece of King Charles, as well as Kate’s daughter Princess Charlotte.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Mike Tindall were both spotted wearing burgundy ties at the event.

Following Kate’s health battles this year, the future Queen was forced to take a period of rest away from public duties as she undertook treatment for cancer. However, with a staggered return to the spotlight since finishing treatment at the end of the summer, Kate will be back once again at the helm of her annual Christmas carol service this year, which will be held at Westminster Abbey on December 6.

Among those who have been personally invited to attend are families and survivors from the horrific knife attack on a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport in July.
