(CNN) – President-elect Donald Trump said he plans to nominate Chad Chronister to serve as the head of the Drug Enforcement Agency.
Chronister is currently the sheriff in Hillsborough County, Florida.
“For over 32 years, Sheriff Chad Chronister has served the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, and received countless commendations and awards for keeping his community safe,” Trump said in part in a statement Saturday.
As the head of the DEA, Chronister will work closely with Trump’s pick for attorney general, Pam Bondi.
