I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! viewers were moved to tears as the celebrities read their heartfelt letters from home.

In an emotionally charged episode on Sunday, with a looming second eviction from the jungle brooding overhead, the camp’s atmosphere turned tender when Dean McCullough was sent packing. Prior to his departure, the stars shared poignant messages from their nearest and dearest.

Kicking off the emotional rollercoaster, ‘Coronation Street’ actor Alan Halsall delivered Tulisa’s brother Dan’s words to the former N-Dubz star: “Keep being the amazing, beautiful, strong caring woman you are, we love you so much, you’ve got this sis!”

Danny Jones of McFly, also in the running for king of the jungle, then heard from wife Georgia, who disclosed that their son Cooper “Has been watching you with the biggest smile on his face and has been even doing his own Bushtucker trials at home”, reports the Express.

She quipped, “Is Barry McGuigan coming for Christmas or what?”

As each celebrity embraced the comforting words from family members, fans expressed their overwhelming emotions on social media platforms like X, formerly known as Twitter.

One viewer posted on X: “Someone needs to throw me a life jacket cos I’m literally drowning in my tears listening to these letters from home.”

Another added their appreciation for the segment, commenting: “The family letters to the campmates in #ImACeleb is really good to watch. It’s a perfect blend of encouragement, humour and heartfelt sentiments that uplifts the spirits of everyone in the camp.”

Another viewer couldn’t hold back their emotions, confessing: “Not a dry eye here. I’m bawling my eyes out like a baby. Letters from home gets right to the soul.”

In response, fans have also expressed their feelings through well-known gifs of celebrities shedding tears over the touching sequences on the programme.

The segment continued with Danny reading some affectionate words written by Barry’s grandchildren: “We love you so much Papa and we are all so proud of you.”

Another endearing connection forged in this series is between GK Barry and Reverend Richard Coles, who took turns reading aloud each others heartfelt messages.

Will, Richards brother, sent an encouraging note stating: “It’s amazing to watch you grow with the rest of your campmates.”

followed by his children Alice and Ellie commenting: “Alice and Ellie wanted to say how cool it is to now have a trendy uncle.”

They also playfully suggested: “Please ask GK to help with your TikTok profile as the next archbishop of banterbury”.

GK received a touching letter from her family; her mum, dad, and girlfriend Ella wrote: “I thought I couldn’t love you anymore than I already do but seeing you with a huntsmen spider on your head has really done it. You’re absolutely smashing it, beautiful. I can’t wait to see you and give you a big kiss. You’re making us all proud.”

Radio DJ Dean McCulloughs support came from home with his mum sending reassuring words: “The huntsman spiders are the worst for you, and the green ants, and the fish guts, actually everything! Saying that, we couldn’t be prouder of how you have overcome all of your fears. Love you and I can’t wait for a big hug.”

The 32-year-old had to endure numerous public-voted trials prior to his departure.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! returns tomorrow at 9pm on ITV1 ad ITVX.
