WASHINGTON (Gray DC) – This week in Washington, President Biden heads to Angola to highlight US support for Africa. It’s his first time visiting the continent while president.

The Supreme Court will hear four cases that cover – bankruptcy, healthcare for transgender youth, tobacco and the Holocaust.

On Capitol Hill, the 118th Congress returns to close out the last few weeks of this term. Congress still needs to agree on a continuing resolution to fund the government into next year.

On Thursday, Speaker Mike Johnson has invited Trump’s heads of Government Efficiency — Elon musk and Vivek Ramaswamy — for a meeting.

The same day, the House will hold the final hearing on Trump’s July assassination attempt.

The nation’s capital getting into the holiday spirit. Decorations for the White House will be unveiled by the First Lady on Monday. Later in the week, trees will be lit on Capitol Hill and on the Ellipse behind White House.
