I’m A Celebrity’s Jane Moore didn’t mince her words about her time in Australia during her appearance on ITV’s Loose Women.
On Monday’s episode (2nd December), Jane reconnected with her co-panelists via video call for the first time since leaving the jungle last Friday. She joined the show in high spirits, assuring Christine Lampard, Judi Love, Brenda Edwards, and Linda Robson that she stood by her parting words – she would go back in a flash and thoroughly enjoyed her experience.
As a seasoned journalist, Jane is accustomed to regularly engaging in deep conversations, and she revealed a confidential chat she’d had with Wayne Rooney’s wife, Coleen Rooney.
Coleen shared with Jane that she initially found it challenging to cope as she “struggled with big personalities” when she first entered the jungle, but this conversation never made it to the screen, reports the Express.
Speaking about their bond, she told the panel, “Excuse me, I now call her Col. Yeah, we’re not Coleen anymore. She is brilliant, very quiet, and reserved, so I thought in the camp I’d just quietly get to know her, you know, let her come out of her shell a bit.”
The discussion unfolded with Coleen confiding in Jane: “And she did sort of confide in me that she was a bit overwhelmed at first by all the big personalities in the camp, which is understandable, but I really think that she’s coming into her own now. She is such a grafter, Linda Robson, she makes you look messy and dirty.”
Jane shared a fascinating tidbit about her relationship with co-star GK Barry in the same heart-to-heart. Despite being Loose Women colleagues, their paths had never crossed in the workplace, and I’m A Celebrity marked their first encounter.
Eager fans watching would have bet on Jane and GK Barry having a familiarity when they joined forces on the show, yet, as Jane pointed out, this assumption was a stark contrast to reality.
Speaking about GK, Jane elaborated on the novelty of their connection: “It’s odd because we’ve actually done I’m A Celebrity together before we’ve done Loose Women,” spiking anticipation for a potential on-screen reunion teased by host Christine once GK is back from the jungle.
Unfortunately for Jane, her adventure was cut short when she became the first contestant to depart from the series, which was hosted by beloved Geordie duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
Her exit came following disagreements with musician Danny Jones and boxing icon Barry McGuigan.
A tiff between the trio broke out when Danny and Barry were named camp leaders. Tasked with the complex job of dividing up the chores amongst their fellow campmates, tensions quickly bubbled to the surface.
Jane was not pleased with their choice to assign her to dishwashing duties, confronting the pair over what she saw as an inappropriate task for a woman in her 60s to tackle scrubbing pots and pans.
Danny and Barry, who had earnestly deliberated to devise a rational chore schedule, were taken aback by her objections. The duo had consciously placed Jane on washing up alongside Tulisa, believing it to be a less taxing option than other tasks.
Yet, Jane imparted during her appearance on Loose Women that dishwashing was one of the harshest chores. Defending her stance in the dispute, she relayed how the duty involved “travel down around 100 steps with pots and pans and bringing them all back to camp again”.
She pointed out that this laborious aspect isn’t shown on television and identified it as the catalyst for the heated altercation.
Loose Women airs on ITV1, from 12:30pm, weekdays.
