It’s been reported that Debbie Nelson, the mother of Eminem, has passed away at the age of 69.
TMZ is reporting that Nelson has died after a battle with advanced lung cancer.
Eminem – real name Marshall Mathers – has had a famously tumultuous relationship with his mother, citing her as an inspiration for many of his songs over his 25-year career. The 52-year-old has reportedly been repairing relations with his mum in the past few years.
Debbie congratulated her son on his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022.
TMZ reports she passed away in St. Joseph, Missouri.
