Malcolm Offord’s move to Rangers to take over as club chairman has STALLED.

The 60-year-old was widely tipped to replace John Bennett in the role at Ibrox but it is reported that detailed talks over the last couple of days have failed to see an agreement reached between the club and Conservative Party donor. It’s believed it’s unlikely he will now take up the position.

Ibrox chiefs are now back at the drawing board and considering back-up options for the role in a major blow. The news comes just days out from the club AGM when the current set up will face the Light Blues faithful for a grilling.
