ATLANTA (WANF/Gray News) – Authorities in Georgia say a woman who went missing last month has been found dead.
DeKalb County police said Rosa Mae Dawson, 80, who was diagnosed with dementia, went missing on Nov. 13 before her body was found Wednesday morning.
Dawson’s family said they believed she wandered away from home.
On Wednesday, officers responded to a call along Whites Mill Road. Police said someone reported finding a body, that was later identified as Dawson, while cleaning the yard behind their home.
“Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers,” DeKalb County police said in a statement.
Police said there were no signs of foul play. Dawson’s official cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner’s office.
