Following her recent stint on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, Tulisa Contostavlos has spoken out about the rumours surrounding her alleged feud with her best friend after leaving the show.
The N-Dubz star, who was the third contestant to exit the jungle, deleted all her Instagram posts related to the ITV program and skipped the scheduled appearance on the show’s spin-off, Unpacked. She also didn’t show up to greet fellow contestant Melvin Odoom after his departure on Tuesday.
Tulisa later explained her actions, revealing she felt overwhelmed after leaving the jungle and needed some time to herself.
“I can get overwhelmed quite easily and started to feel overwhelmed. I realised I needed to take time for myself, and to chill, it’s all a little bit much at the moment,” she said, “I’m just going to archive all my stuff to do with the jungle and then, when the time is right and I’ve had time to process, I’m going to make my own reels of my best bits that I really like.”
Tulisa added that she hadn’t been managing her Instagram posts herself, which is why her Instagram posts seemed off.
Rumours had circulated that Tulisa had a major argument with her friend Michelle McKenna, who had flown to Australia to support her after her eviction from the jungle. However, Tulisa has since denied these claims.
The singer took to Instagram to assure fans that all is well with her inner circle, declaring: “Absolutely no issue with my sis’s posts…haven’t argued with my best mate in over 10 years. We literally don’t have arguments, they don’t exist in our world. Only love. Same with my bro. That’s what makes us so strong and my soul fam so special to me. Say what u want about me, but leave my Shelly and Dan alone pls.”
Post-exit, the star had checked into the JW Marriott Hotel with the cast and crew, only to become a ghost at the luxury establishment. A source confided to The Sun: “Tulisa and the two friends who came to Australia with her disappeared after she came out. No one saw her in the hotel and she wasn’t talking to anyone. Her mates were talking among themselves and were worried as no one could pin her down. They were chatting back and forth in their group chats and no one could raise her. It was total radio silence.”
Another insider added: “Not having Tulisa at the hotel with the other stars has been odd, and people don’t know whether or not she’ll be back to film the reunion. Naturally, everyone just wants her to be all right, and ITV and her campmates are being supportive.”
The last sighting of Tulisa was on ITV’s Lorraine this Tuesday, where she reflected on her stint in the jungle, hinting that perhaps not all contestants were playing fair. She said at the time: “I feel like I have with some of them. I think they will be friends for life. But a lot of people for the cameras were being very pally pally but the real test will be when everyone is out. Will they make the effort to send texts in the group chat? Will they do the four hour drives to see each other? We’ll see.”
