The upcoming Netflix thriller Black Doves, featuring Keira Knightley, is set to premiere on 5 December. The film promises a gripping mix of intrigue and suspense as it follows the story of a spy posing as a politician’s wife.

After her lover is murdered, she joins forces with an assassin from her past in a quest for vengeance and the discovery of buried secrets.

Keira Knightley takes the lead as Helen Webb, with a stellar cast including Ben Whishaw, Sarah Lancashire, Andrew Buchan, Kathryn Hunter, Ella Lily Hyland, Gabrielle Creevy, and Omari Douglas. All six episodes of Black Doves will be available on UK Netflix from midnight on 5 December.

In a recent Radio Times interview, Keira discussed how motherhood has deepened her grasp of her character’s complexities. She mused about the multifaceted nature of life, saying: “In life it’s those double faces that you have.”

She delved into the contrast between one’s public and private selves, stating: “Then suddenly you’re at work and you’ve got your work face on and then you’ve got your kid on the phone and you’re, ‘Oh baby, are you OK?’. So, it’s that thing I think we all know and that we all do, but ramped up to ten, or 11 or 12.”

Keira also shared insights into her own experiences, remarking: “We all do it. For me, I’m on a film set and then it’s, ‘Oh, you passed your spelling test I love you so much!'”
