Budding young players at Hamilton Youth Football Club are dressed for success after being kitted out for matchday by a local housebuilder.

Lovell Homes, who are constructing the Glow Garren development in the town, have donated a brand new set of distinctive bright yellow kits to the club as part of an ongoing sponsorship of the team.

Club coach Gary McKelvie said: “The kids absolutely love their new kits. It’s a confidence booster and a reminder that their community is cheering them on.

“Support from local businesses like Lovell Homes is vital for us, and we’re truly grateful.”

The Glow Garren development consists of 163 three- to five-bedroomed properties on the site of the former Philips factory, and Lovell say their support for the local team “goes beyond a single donation and is part of a broader commitment to strengthening communities” in areas where they build.

Sales director Margaret Davidson said: “Supporting Hamilton YFC is our way of giving back and encouraging young players to represent their town with pride, and seeing their excitement and sense of belonging in their new kits is heartwarming.”
